Jerry Allender

As a retired professor of education at Temple University, Jerry Allender has time to attend to his passions for writing and playing music. After many years away from his trumpet, he now regularly plays big band tunes and recently had the thrill of playing at the summer dance festival in the plaza of Lincoln Center in New York City. His two most recent books are Imagery in Teaching and Learning: An Autobiography of Research in Four World Views and Teacher Self: The Practice of Humanistic Education.
