Head professor and researcher at the University of Caldas in Manizales, Colombia -South America. I hold a doctoral degree in Education and a B.A. in Modern Languages. I am the author of national and international articles, including academic papers in the fields of curriculum, qualitative research, classroom research, ethnography applied to education, among others. My publications also include experiences concerning virtual learning environments both in urban and rural areas. I coordinate one of the most outstanding educational research group in the country and has been a peer evaluator of the National System of Science and Technology.
Various research projects have been derived from my research work applied to education that consisted on incorporating Action Research to transform the teaching practices among teacher trainees and advisors. The following five projects have been entitled:
- Reflective action research for the improvement of theoretical and pedagogical practices.
- Transforming foreign language teaching and learning processes in the teaching practicum in public institutions.
- Coffee culture, curriculum and foreign language teaching.
- Action research for scientific preparation of beginning teachers.
