Ram Singh-Punia
Ram Singh-Punia is a chartered Builder with a Certificate, a Diploma and MA in Education. He also has MPhil and Doctorate in Education from the University of Bath.
After working in construction industry for six years he first taught construction technology and management in two polytechnics for six years before becoming a teacher trainer for ten years. After that he became an international consultant in vocational education and training. He has worked in England, Singapore, Hong Kong, Fiji, Western Samoa and Mauritius. He specialises in curriculum, staff and school development in public and corporate education and training. He is adept at creating learning situations for himself and for other stakeholders involved in improving what they are doing. As such he has used a various forms of action research in his consultancy work. His vast technical competence and an integrated character based on ethical values inspired trust in his colleagues and seniors.
Now divorced, he has two grown up children, Sara West and Nick West. He is a British citizen who came from India in the fifties. Being partly retired, he lives partly in England and partly in India. Currently he is involved in promoting living educational theory from of action research in developing countries and in putting a vast amount of his writings on his website. Living education theory form of action research is in nothing but discovering one self in answering the question, ‘how do I improve what I am doing’? It blends technological development with personal development. It is a new form of international education aiming for technical cooperation and international understanding in international aid projects.
